If I call them resolutions, they’ll never happen. Let’s call these goals instead. Stop cracking my neck. It grosses people out. Stop acting like chewing gum is an acceptable substitute for brushing my teeth. Read twelve books. See Sarah. See a band in concert that I’ve never seen before. Make a new friend.

Dear 13-year-old me,
I now have the invincibility theme from that Sonic the Hedgehog game you’ve played too much and the little a capella thing from the end of Switchfoot’s New Way To Be Human as ringtones on my phone, just like you thought you should. I hope this makes you happy, because I think Hawk Nelson sucks and I never got together with that jerk you have a crush on. :)

This is what I'm going to do with my time off:
Four days of Christmas on the 23rd, 25th, 26th and 27th. New Year’s Eve party of some sort. Switchfoot concert on January 9th. At least start Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. Put up my new rope lights that aren’t halfway burnt out, and install some new hooks in my closet. Figure out what the heck is going on with my Fresno State application. It’s been almost three...
